Harold C. "Pete" White, 84, of Gandeeville, West Virginia, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at home.
He was born February 5, 1930, in Jackson County, a son of the late Harden Denver and Malinda Ann Thomas White.
Pete was a retired truck driver, member of the U.M.W.A., Local 17, Charleston and a member of the Mt. Herman Community Church, Gandeeville. He enjoyed playing and listening to bluegrass music and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Myrtle M. Parsons White; three daughters, Carolyn Starcher of Spencer WV, Cathy Nichols of Gandeeville and Inez Myers of Le Roy WV; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers, Kenna White of Romance WV, Luther White of Ripley WV and Clyde White of Ravenswood WV; one sister, Della Harris of Grove City PA.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the White Family Cemetery, Cicerone WV, with Jonathan Harper officiating. There will be no visitation.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
