Trekking through the dark and spooky woods
A ghostly horseman rides into the night
It's was a walk into the dark and spooky woods of Calhoun County Park last night,
facing ominous creatures with weapons, ill-fated spooks wandering down paths,
ghosts dangling from trees and corpses' crawling from under tombstones.
Other monsters came alive to rise from an assortment of coffins along the trail.
The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department's second annual Haunted Trail will
continue tonight from 7 until 11 p.m. at the park, and quite a fun event it is.
The haunted crawl from behind trees
Slightly spooked, but not too much
The firemen have gone all-out this year to provide a fascinating experience, including
creatures crawling from the mire of the park's pond to a "headless" horseman on a
real horse riding across the skyline of the park.
The event costs only two bucks and you can participate in a wiener roast for another
buck, a real Halloween entertainment deal for the whole family.
Come rain or clear. Tonight is the last night.
