Coordinator Linda Jones says 78.75% of students are passing the current West Virginia High School Equivalency exam.
"That means that out of every one hundred people that took the courses and test, almost eighty of them passed, Jones said.
"So if you have been scared off from taking the new test, don't be," she continued.
The classes are available locally to prepare.
Calhoun County classes will be held at the Career Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11:30 to 3:00.
Gilmer County classes will be held at St. Marks Church on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30.
The test will continue to be free, and candidates will still have to pass a practice test prior to test enrollment. Please call 354-6151, Extension 106 for more information. |
