Frontier Communications has told the Calhoun Commission that improvements to fix a longtime land-line phone problem in the Big Springs-Five Forks section of the county are nearing completion.
Residents of those areas complained to the Calhoun Commission last year, with the commission filing a formal complaint with the West Virginia Public Service Commission.
Frontier's latest report indicates that the Big Springs sub-station is nearing completion with the improvements.
Replacement of equipment at the Five Forks had been delayed, but the improvements are expected to be completed by late January.
A hearing date with the WV-PSC, Frontier and the Calhoun Commission has been set for February 10. |
