J. Douglas "Jay" Nutter, 60, of Charleston, West Virginia, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
He was born March 6, 1954 in Charleston, a son of the late Frank P. and Lura Pearl Russell Nutter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank P. "Buddy" Nutter, Jr. and Don Nutter.
Jay was a former employee of Goodwill Industries, Charleston. He attended Spencer High School and graduated from Nicholas County High School.
Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Nancy Nutter of Salem, Ohio and Michael "Mickey" and Lois Nutter of Smackover, Ark.; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon Nutter Miller and her husband, John of Laurinburg, N.C.; two nephews, a grandniece and three grandnephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Roger Mullins officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call one hour before the funeral.
