Eugenia "Jeanie" Evans, 53, of Gandeeville, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Charleston Area Medical Center's Memorial Division in Charleston, West Virginia.
She was born September 22, 1961 in South Charleston, West Virginia, a daughter of Juanita Reed Lewis of Gandeeville and the late Norman E. Lewis.
She was a homemaker, formerly worked at Kroger's, and enjoyed hunting and working in her yard. She was a 1979 graduate of Herbert Hoover High School and a Nazarene.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Gary Evans; a son, Matthew "Matt" Evans of Gandeeville; and a brother, Steve Lewis of Massachusetts.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Andrea Faye Lewis and her grandparents, Orvie and Florence Reed.
Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia, with Rev. John Means officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery near Gandeeville. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
