| The WV School Building Authority approved roughly $5.6 million in funding for building projects in nine counties Monday, with about 20 applying.
The regional counties that were awarded some funding, Wirt and Gilmer, both receiving smaller amounts.
Gilmer County High School received $757,571 SBA funds for HVAC system renovations & replacement, with local funds $25,000 for a total project cost of $782,571.
Wirt County High School received $803,694 SBA funds for fire alarm renovations, with local funds of $160,000 for a project total of $963,694.
