| Ruby C. Atkinson, 83, of Glen Allen, Virginia, formerly of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home in Glen Allen on Thursday, December 11, 2014.
She was born in Gay, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ralph and Audra Evans.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Deborah Atkinson of Mechanicsville, Virginia; a sister, Virginia Lucas of Hurricane, West Virginia; a brother, Roger Evans of Elyria, Ohio; three step-grandchildren, Kristen Skalsky, Jennifer Schwerer-Withers, and Derek Schwerer; a step-great-grandson, Finn Withers; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with her nephews Buddy Wine and Eddie Atkinson speaking. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visiting is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
