| KANAWHA CITY STABBING - A woman is in serious condition and another is behind bars after police said a night of partying and using drugs took a dangerous turn.
Police said Jessica Shamblin and Jerri Canterbury had been doing drugs for several hours at the Motel 6 in Kanawha City.
on Thursday morning.
Reportedly, Shamblin accused Canterbury of stealing the drugs and stabbed her multiple times with a pair of scissors.
Shamblin is also accused of smashing the TV in the room over Canterbury's head, police said.
Shamblin has been charged with malicious wounding.

A man was stabbed multiple times early Sunday morning in Kanawha County.>{?
According to a criminal complaint, police were called to the scene to find the victim, James Willis, lying on the floor covered in blood. He had multiple stab wounds.
A witness told police, Daniel Cummings stabbed Willis. Police found Cummings on MacCorkle Avenue shortly after and arrested him.
According to the complaint, police returned to the house on Venable Avenue and interviewed Cummings' grandmother, who also owns the home.
She told police there was a struggle and Cummings had the opportunity to leave the home to "deescalate the situation after he stabbed the victim," according to the complaint.
She also told police Willis tried to get away, but Cummings continued to chase him down the hall, stabbing him in the back.
Cummings is charged with malicious wounding.
Willis was taken to CAMC General for treatment. |
