Tom Wildfire, 64, of Minnora, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 following an unexpected accident.
He was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on January 25, 1950, and raised in Saltsburg, PA.
He had lived in Minnora, WV for the last 40 years. Tom was a devoted and beloved father with a wonderful sense of humor and a gentle and friendly character.
He passed an interest in all things mechanical to his son and a fondness for traditional Italian cooking (and family recipe collection) to his daughter.
He was also well known as a skilled woodworker, who spent most of his adult life as a self-employed artist creating beautiful hand-carved wooden spoons and chairs, tables, and other furniture.
Tom is survived by his son Patrick Wildfire and daughter-in-law Christina of Richland, Washington; his daughter Cynthia Wildfire of Beckley, West Virginia; his twin brother Tim Wildfire (wife Judy) of Durham, North Carolina; his sisters Valerie Wendel (husband Scott) of Dawson, Pennsylvania; and Natalie Damico of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by his many friends, neighbors, and family members.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Emma (Surra) Wildfire and his brother Stacey Wildfire.
Visitation will be held at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg, WV from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014. |
