Dorma Ellis, 95, of Spencer, West Virginia died November 15, 2014 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer.
She was born November 21, 1918 in Linden, West Virginia a daughter of the late Romeo Roy and Estelle Starcher Young.
She was a homemaker, formerly worked for public works and Monarch Rubber Company. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church in Newton, West Virginia.
Mrs. Ellis is survived by two sons, Charles D. Ellis of Spencer and Denver Lee Ellis of Cumming, Georgia; one sister, Ada Marks of Reedy, West Virginia; three brothers, Roy Young of Walbridge, Ohio, John Young of Toledo, Ohio and Jim Young of Huntington, Indiana; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Lee Ellis in 1988; one sister, Ella Craddock; and three brothers, Charles Starcher and Robert and Willis Young.
Service 11:00 am Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Huffman officiating assisted by her son, Denver. Visiting hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer.
