Players, parents and fans rush to Winner's Circle
"These are are great boys...great players...you parents should be
proud."
A crowd of 1200 paying fans attended Calhoun County High School's annual
homecoming event Friday evening, enthralled by the Red Devil's seventh win and
sixth shut-out. Calhoun defeated traditional rival Roane 18-0.
The team has scored 172 points, with only 21 points by opponents. The Red Devils
are play-off bound.
Coach Buck Stewart praised his players in the winner's circle after Fridays game.
"These are great boys. Great players! It has been my privilege working with them," he
said, as about 150 parents and fans congregated to discuss the win.
