CONLEY AND HAMRICK WILL BE SENTENCED ON METH CHARGES TODAY

(11/17/2014)
Richard Earl Conley, 56, of Country Lanes, Mt. Zion, is on the Calhoun Circuit Court docket Monday to be sentenced on charges related to meth making.

Circuit Court will be in session today starting at 9:30 a.m. with Judge Thomas Evans III presiding.

Conley had three separate Calhoun indictments involving the manufacturing of methamphetamine, the purchase of precursors used in manufacturing meth, and driving under the influence.

The charges were filed by the State Police in 2013 and 2014, connected to a number of incidents.

Conley was just sentenced in Roane County on drug charges.

He had been indicted by a Roane grand jury in January with possession of meth with intent to deliver and obstructing an officer.

Conley pled guilty to a charge of simple possession and obstructing.

Judge David W. Nibert sentenced him to 90 days in regional jail with fines and costs of $1,500.

Sentencing is set for Zebadiah Noyes Hamrick, 35, whose addresses have been variously listed in Calhoun and Roane, related to meth making and exposure of children to meth.

Hamrick failed to appear in the Circuit Court of Calhoun County on April 1, 2014 and was found and incarcerated some months later.

He had also being sought for not appearing on charges in Roane County.

Hamrick was also arrested in March, 2013, when police discovered he was cooking meth under a tarp along US 33 between two parked cars, a few feet from the highway near the Roane-Calhoun line.
