| Lavoris June "Jupe" Roberts, 76, of Parkersburg, WV passed away at her home Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
She was born in Calhoun County, WV on October 22, 1938, a daughter of the late Lane Kester and Gladys Putnam Roberts.
She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Bolivia, NC. She was owner and operator of June's Fabric Shop and was an avid bingo player.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorla Rhodes, Jean Carte; and brother, Gary Roberts.
She is survived by children, Pam (Stevens) Magill and husband, Tom, of New Hope, MN and Sheila Hannah of Sumerco, WV; companion, Ray Evans of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Corey Powers (Jessie) of Newport, OH; Craig Powers of Virginia; and Sadie Magill of New Hope, MN; great-grandchildren, Brayden Powers and Rylee Childers; brother, Delmas Roberts and wife, Judy; sisters-in-law, Sue Roberts and Mary Shears; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are extended family, Misty Wood and family and Randy and Sally Spaur and family.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Shelly Mace will officiate.
Interment will be in the Roberts Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. |
