MAN MURDERED, WIFE STABBED - Two people have been charged with murder in connection to a fatal stabbing in Wayne County Wednesday morning.

Jeremy Marcum and Elijah Marcum, no relation, are both charged with murder.

James "Red" Bundy, 70, was stabbed to death about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in Genoa. His wife, Myrtle Bundy, sustained stab wounds and was taken to the hospital, where she is out of surgery and was listed in stable condition.

Police say Myrtle Bundy was stabbed several times, and then got in a car and drove around blowing her horn asking for help.

MAN WHO KILLED INTRUDER JAILED ON NEW CHARGES - A man who shot and killed an intruder at his Campbells Creek home last week is now behind bars after he allegedly threatened to shoot a person in a separate incident.

David Matthew Campbell, 65, is charged with wanton endangerment after he allegedly pointed a gun at a man and chased him into a nearby gas station on Tuesday. Campbell was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

Police say Campbell threatened Eddie Chapman Jr., a friend of Robert Andrew Carter, 31, whom Campbell shot and killed last week.

Campbell was allegedly chasing Chapman and had threatened him with a gun, and he rook shelter in a convenience store.

The complaint says Chapman was driving in the area when Campbell recognized Chapman, got out of his vehicle and pointed a gun at the man.

Campbell followed Chapman to an Exxon in his vehicle and asked a witness where Chapman was. Campbell allegedly told the witness he "was going to kill (Chapman)."

Campbell then left, returning to the convenience store with a gun in his hand, and again asked where Chapman was and stated that he was going to kill the man.

Deputies found two pistols and a knife in Campbell's waistband, and another pistol was found in his vehicle.

Campbell is being held in South Central Regional Jail.

MORGANTOWN BANK ROBBERY - A man robbed the Clear Mountain Bank inside a Kroger store Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect entered the bank at about 1:40 p.m. demanding money and threatening to use a gun. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash before the man ran out of the store.

TAYLOR COUNTY STABBING = The suspect in a Taylor County stabbing was arrested after he fled to Harrison County on Tuesday afternoon.

John Edward Simpson III, 31, is alleged to have stabbed Michael Whitehair and Theresa Jones multiple times while in their residence in Grafton.

Simpson and Whitehair were believed to be arguing about a separate incident under investigation by authorities while Whitehair was holding a child before the stabbing.

Whitehair and Jones were flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital and the child was transported to Grafton City Hospital for evaluation. Their conditions are not currently known.

Simpson fled the scene in his vehicle toward Bridgeport, was stopped by police, exited the vehicle and was captured.

Simpson faces two counts from authorities in Taylor County of malicious assault for the stabbing, first offense DUI and fleeing charges from the police in Bridgeport and had several outstanding warrant for charges of domestic battery, third offense shoplifting and gas drive off, among others. He is in North Central Regional Jail on $500,000 bond.
