Robert James Welsh, 63, died unexpectedly at his home November 9, 2014. Bob was born April 23, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Robert and Kathleen Welsh.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert and brother Donald.
Bob is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 43 years, Patricia Norris Welsh, daughters Jessica Greathouse and husband Mark of South Charleston, W.Va., Rachel Welsh de Iga and husband Carlos of Powhatan, Va., Leah Lowe and husband Doug of Florence, S. Carolina, Therese Moynihan and husband Sean of Chesapeake, Va., and son Robert and wife Jessi of Hurricane, W.Va. He is also survived by his mother Kathleen, sisters, Mary Smith, Debby Kilbane and Maureen Gross, and brother, Patrick.
He will be missed immensely by his 13 grandchildren, Chloe Hope, Raquel Isabella, Macy Kate, Carlie Marie, Micah Nicole, Megan Gale, Brooke Catherine, Robert Jacob, Carlos Roberto, Caden Brooks, Christopher James, Matthew Frank, and Colin Robert.
Friends can honor Bob and his life Nov. 13, 2014, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 602 Parkersburg Road, Spencer, W.Va. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Father Josh Stevens as celebrant.
