Robert Lee Harper, 72, of Savannah, Georgia, formerly of Gandeeville, West Virginia, passed away on November 9, 2014 after a courageous battle due to many health issues, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 4, 1942 and was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Judy Riley Harper; his sons, Robert Lee (Kitty) Harper II, and Mark (Phyllis) Harper; grandsons, Ethan Harper and Caleb Harper, both of Savannah; granddaughter, Trina DeForge of Savannah; great-granddaughter, Rylee Harper of Savannah; his mother, Maxine Harper Keffer of Spencer, West Virginia; brothers, David Sam (Betty) Harper of Clendenin, West Virginia and James Roger (Judy) Harper of Montgomery, Illinois; and step-sister, Patricia (Allen) Wright of Hurricane, West Virginia.
Robert has many nieces and nephews, family members, and friends to remember what a good man he was. He loved them all and the all loved him.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Savannah for their care and support and a special thanks to Phyllis and Trina.
Service will be at 2:00pm Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Pastor John Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to the service on Thursday.
