Roland "Blackie" Barr, 77, passed away Nov. 7, 2014, due to Parkinson's Disease complications.
Roland was born to the late Paul and Mary Barr, Grantsville, W.Va., on Nov. 5, 1937.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Dianne Hopkins Barr; daughter, Tonya Ellis, South Carolina; son, Rob Barr, Parkersburg; granddaughters, Sadi Barr and Anna Ellis; brother, Ron (Judy) Barr; sisters, Susan Webber and Geraldine Showalter; brothers-in-law, Robert Pierce and James Blosser; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are two sisters, Marjorie Pierce and Betty Blosser; and brother-in-law, Wayne Showalter.
Roland donated his body to WVU for Parkinson's Disease research. |
