BANK ROBBERY - Charleston Police are looking for a man they say robbed the BB&T bank on the city's west side Friday afternoon.

Police say the man walked in the bank, handed a note to the teller, indicating he was armed.

Shortly after the robbery, police released a picture caught on a surveillance camera of the man they believed robbed the bank.

The man got away with money.

He is a suspect at a hold-up at Krogers later in the day.

HOT DOG ROBBERY - The Boone County Sheriff's Office arrested a man and charged with an armed robbery at Sam's Hot Dog Shop.

The Sheriff's Office says William Shane Mason, also known as Giz or Gizmodo, 23, of Seth, went to Sam's Hotdogs in Comfort Thursday afternoon.

Police say he was wearing a mask, and put a hunting rifle in the face of the cashier.

Deputies say before leaving, Mason stole an employee's purse, before leaving on an ATV.

"The show of force and the sheer violence in this robbery is concerning", said Sheriff Randall White. "A situation like this is very serious and we treat it as such."

After a few hours, deputies were able to determine that Mason was the suspect and were able to take him into custody. Mason was charged with robbery. He could face 10 years to life in prison if convicted.

KROGER HOLD-UP - Kanawha County 911 dispatchers confirmed police were on the scene of a robbery at a Kroger store in Charleston. Charleston Police believe the man responsible is the same suspect from the bank robbery at BB&T earlier.

They have identified the man as Charles Taylor from Jefferson.

The Kroger robbery was reported about 6:30 p.m. Friday.

The man walked into the grocery store and handed a clerk a note, saying he had a gun and wanted cash. The clerk handed the suspect $200 in cash.
