Hilda Fay Lawrence, 71, of Peniel, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2014.
Fay was born in Charleston, West Virginia on April 18, 1943 and was a daughter of the late Kenny and Ethel Salisbury Davis.
She was a 1961 graduate of East Bank High School and was married to her loving husband, Rev. Phil Lawrence on October 1, 1963 at Chesapeake Apostolic Church in Chesapeake, West Virginia by Rev. D.W. Durst.
Fay attended the Leatherbark Community Church and retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital in 2010.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Misty Cooper of Winifrede, West Virginia.
Fay is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rev. Phil Lawrence; a daughter, Cindy (Keith) Kirk of Chesapeake WV; three sons, Robert (Jennifer) Lawrence of Reedy, West Virginia, Phil (Sonja) Lawrence of Sanford, North Carolina, and Brian (Tabitha) Lawrence of Amma, West Virginia; her brother, Roger (Diane) Davis of Winifrede; her sister, Bonnie Critchfield of Kanawha City, West Virginia; and five grandchildren.
Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia, with Rev. Robert Keen officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Peniel. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
