| Diane Payne Shanks, 55, of Walton, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 at home.
She was born April 21, 1959 in Witchita, Kansas, a daughter of Arless W. Groves Payne of Walton and the late Kenneth L. Payne.
She formerly worked at Hardings Restaurant in Mink Shoals.
In addition to her mother, Diane is survived by a daughter, Julia Dawn Shanks of Charleston, West Virginia; and two granddaughters, Ella Rose and Emilee Jo Hankins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Donald "Donnie" Shanks.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia. After the visitation the family's request is that Diane be cremated.
