| Two Cleveland,Ohio men have been arrested for deer poaching in Roane County. DNR officers stopped 48-year-old George B. Zmich and his son on I-79 near Ripley after they received a tip about the men illegally killing deer near Spencer.
Officers found a cooler of fresh deer meat in their truck.
The two pleaded guilty to two counts of illegal possession of wildlife, two counts of untagged deer meat and one count of conspiriacy to violate state game laws.
The were fined $380 each plus court costs. |
