Sylvia Smith, 85, of Ohley, West Virginia, died October 4, 2014, in the Miletree Center, Spencer.
She was born February 17, 1929, in Kanawha County, a daughter of the late Cornelius and Ruie Davis Ronk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Weed Andrew Smith; daughter, Ruie 'Pete' Elmore; son, Phillip Smith; stepfather, Arlen Lewis; sister, Genevieve 'Dot' Cooper; brothers, Blane Monk and Woodrow Monk.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and mother.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Michael Bernardis, Helena and Norman Skaggs, Darlene and Jonah Bowles, Betty Province and Kermit Seagraves; son and daughter-in-law, Weed and Pam Smith; brothers, Cornelius 'Wink' Ronk and John Ronk; 16 granchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 10 at the Ronda Apostolic Church, Ronda.
