Roberta Sue Turner-Kocher, 66, of Perkins, West Virginia, departed this life at 9:03 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, West Virginia, following an extended illness.
Born May 25, 1948 in Gassaway, West Virginia, daughter of the late Ferrell Paul and Virginia Burns Jenkins Blake.
Roberta was a homemaker and member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden and playing computer games.
On October 13, 1990 she was united in marriage to Steven Kocher who survives at their residence in Perkins.
Surviving is 1 son, William "Billy" Joseph Turner of Perkins, 1 granddaughter, Hannah Dawn Turner of Sutton, West Virginia, 6 sisters, Marilyn Carpenter and husband Curt of Gassaway, WV; Jeanne Davisson of Normantown, West Virginia, Paula Smith and husband Jack of Perkins, WV; Debra Hitt and husband Joe of Cox's Mills, West Virginia, Alice Wylde and husband David of England, and Donna Duelley and husband Carl of Normantown, WV; and 1 brother, Larry Jenkins and wife Lisa of Glenville, West Virginia.
There are also several nieces and nephews surviving.
Roberta's request for cremation has been honored and private family burial on the family farm will be at a later date.
