| Neal Price, 93, of Harmony, West Virginia, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
He was a 1940 graduate of Walton High School and was retired from the Operating Engineers where he worked for various construction companies and he also owned his own store on Price Ridge for many years. He was an avid farmer of produce and beef cattle and loved his white park cattle. He enjoyed talking and reminiscing about the "good ole days", was a Baptist, and never met a stranger and was always willing to help others.
He was born August 27, 1921 in Kanawha County to the late George and Blandis Gandee Price and was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Price Cox.
Neal is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Lorraine Ferrell Price; two daughters, Joyce (Mike) Looney of Harmony and Jane (Larry) McCoy of Ravenswood, West Virginia; his grandchildren, Erin (Jamie) Myers of Monroe, North Carolina, Jenny (Justin) Saunders of Speed, West Virginia, Patrick (Casey) Looney of Harmony, and Morgan, Tyler, and Max McCoy, all of Ravenswood; and eight great-grandchildren, Mason, Carter, and Weston Myers of Monroe, Gage, Tanner, and Berkley Saunders of Speed, and Jace McCoy and Austin Nichols of Ravenswood.
Service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia, with Pastor Daniel McClung officiating. Burial will follow in the Ferrell Cemetery in Harmony. Visiting will be Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
