Mary Madeline Walker Justice, 92, of Spencer, West Virginia, formerly of Left Hand, died Monday, September 1, 2014, in the Miletree Center, Spencer, after a three year illness.
She was born January 27, 1922, at Gay, Jackson County, a daughter of the late Marshall Elmer and Mabel Tolley Walker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Bernard Justice, whom she married May 1, 1946; a son David Justice; a sister, Eleanor Goebel; and brother, Marshall Walker.
Mrs. Justice was a past employee and owner of the Left Hand Post Office and a co-owner of the former Justice General Merchandise. She was a member of the Epling Chapel Baptist Church, Looneyville and a lifelong resident of Roane County.
She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Linden Chapter No. 152, Order of the Eastern Star. Also, she was a Past Grand Officer of Grand Chapter, O.E.S., State of West Virginia, having served as Grand Electa in 1968-69.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Mary Jasmine Justice of Berlin, Germany, Jamie Suzanne Kinkead and Michael Carey Justice both of Spokane, WA; two great grandchildren, Felix and Milo Kinkead.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, September 7 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Wayne McGlothlin officiating. Burial was in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
An Eastern Star Memorial Service was held immediately after the visitation and prior to the funeral service.
