Luciele "Pie" (Dawson) Young, 82 of Elizabeth WV passed away Tuesday August 26, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born August 7, 1932 to Delphia (Robinson) and John Menefee.
She was a graduate of Wirt County High School. Retired from the Weyco Shoe Factor in Beaver Dam WI. She was an active member of the Wirt County Community Educational outreach service (CEOS), and served on the Board of Directors for the Wirt County Committee on Aging. She attended the Elizabeth United Methodist Church. She was the Wirt County Belle in 2013. Pie Doe, enjoyed playing Bunco and Bingo and spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Allen (Wanda) Young of Waterloo WI, Ernie Young (Mary) of Elizabeth, and James (Kim) Young of PA; 2 daughters Kathy young of Beaver Dam WI, and Pricilla (Bill) Shacklett of Akron Ohio; 5 grandsons, Jeremy, Kyle, Rodney, Sean, and Tim;
4 granddaughters, Kayla (and her son Ayden), Wendy, Erica and Stephanie; 1 brother, Roy "Ted" Menefee of Burning Springs; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She lived the last few years with her niece Brenda Evans (Randy) and ejoyed spending time with her and nephew Dwayne "Sam" Dawson (Tammy)
She was preceded in death by both her parents; her husband of 48 years L. Bruce Young; son, John Young; 6 brothers and sisters, Burl Dawson, Larry Menefee, Mildred Kirby, Paul Dawson, Warren Menefee,
and Leota Menefee.
Services will be 7:00 p.m. Friday August 29, 2014 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with Rev. Lee Williams officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be at a later date.
