West Virginia occupies the bottom half of most rankings, but the state's higher education system is now listed among the best in the country according to one source.
Tied with Maine and Montana for the No. 1 spot in a new FindTheBest ranking, West Virginia's higher education system takes the top spot for its diverse programs and affordability.
While FindTheBest isn't considered an authority, the website uses "smart ratings" to accurately compare products, from smartphone brands to dog breeds.
