Judge Nibert was in Calhoun Circuit Court Monday, dealing with a number of cases.
Prosecutor Shannon Johnson said Allen Nelson appeared in Calhoun Circuit Court for a status hearing after being arrested on a bench warrant. His trial is set for September 30.
Zachary Thomas entered a plea of no contest to petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Thomas waived his pre-sentence investigation and was fined $500.00 for the petit larceny charge and $200.00 for the possession charge.
Thomas was also ordered to make restitution in the amount of $2130.00 to the victims in the case.
Adam Park entered a guilty plea to attempt to possess and purchase precursors for the manufacture of methamphetamine, a felony. He will be sentenced on October 27th.
In a civil case filed by the State of WV and Grantsville City Police Chief Andrew Walker against Mary Parsons, the Judge ordered that Parsons' vehicle be forfeited to the Town of Grantsville.

Prosecutor Johnson said Luke Baker appeared on his attorney's motion to compel discovery and a motion to modify his bond on his charges of DUI causing death, a felony.
The attorney withdrew his motion to compel discovery after noting that the state had provided discovery to his client after the filing of the motion.
The court denied Baker's request to modify his bond and noted that he should still not operate a motor vehicle while on bond.

Jason Conrad, in a drug related case, entered into a one year pre- trial diversion on charges of conspiracy to operate a clandestine drug laboratory, a felony. Conrad will be under the supervision of the probation officer.
Clarke Patterson was in court for a status hearing, the court accepting a competency evaluation that had been completed in Clay County. His case will come to rial on October 21.

David Booher appeared on an outstanding warrant from 2011 related to drug charges. He will appear for an arraignment hearing on September 3.
Justin Hannah appeared on a motion for bond reduction. The state did not object and the court reduced Mr. Hannah's bond to ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) cash, surety, or property.
Hannah was charged by Calhoun authorities with petit larceny, uttering and forgery.
In a civil case filed by the Grantsville Chief of Police Andrew Walker and the State, the court ordered that Carla Metheney's vehicle be seized under the WV Drug Contraband Forfeiture Act. The court found that Metheney used her vehicle in the sale of controlled substances.
Deanna Nelson entered a guilty plea to exposure of children to methamphetamine manufacturing, a felony. She will be sentenced on October 23.
Andrea Simmons entered a guilty plea to operating and attempt to operate clandestine drug lab, a felony. She will also be sentenced on October 23.
