The West Virginia Department of Education has released the latest 2013-14 Westest results to county school systems.
Calhoun Superintendent of Schools Tim Woodward said the student proficiency results released are raw scores to be reviewed and scaled and are currently embargoed, but will be released to the public.
The state has gone to what they call an improvement model, which is focused on progress, dropping the pass-fail system of No Child Left Behind.
Last year's Westest results for Calhoun was a mixed bag, but with the change to the progress model, local schools overall showed improvements with some exceptions, the county schools receiving higher rankings than under the NCLB system.
