The 1st Annual "Run for Raegen," a fundraiser for Calhoun school kids, was held at the Arnoldsburg Community Park August 16th, the event is in memory of Raegen Reese McKown of Beech, whose life was cut short by a tragic accident.
The event included a 5K Walk/Run, Volleyball Tournament, and a Cornhole Tournament.
Event organizers say, "On behalf of the Run for Raegen, a local
non-profit organization, family, friends, staff and volunteers, would like to thank everyone who donated, participated, and or volunteered for the 1st annual event, including, Calhoun EMS and Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department. The event turned out amazing and it would not have been possible without each person who contributed."
"We greatly appreciate it and look forward to next years event on July 25, 2015. The proceeds are to benefit children of Calhoun County Schools, and we would like to invite everyone to join us in our final decision.
