The Family Resource Network, WVU Extension Office, and Calhoun 4-H are partnering in a community event on Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at Wayne Underwood Field in Grantsville.
"The event is for all ages in hopes of bringing the community together as a whole and show support for our children," said Samantha Cowan, Coordinator for Calhoun Family Resource Network.
The sponsors would like all youth, Pre-K through 12th grade, that participate in cheerleading, basketball, football, wrestling, twirling, band, tee ball, softball, volleyball, etc., to attend the event and help pump up the crowd at a bonfire pep rally.
Inflatables, games, a bonfire, pep rally, free food and more are included in the event.
"We hope that the morale of the community and youth will be in great spirits and showing Calhoun pride for the Calhoun High School Homecoming scheduled for September 5th," said Cowen.
