Opal Park Stutler, 89, of Norton, Ohio, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at Ridgewood Road Hospice Center.
She was born in Clarksburg, the daughter of the late William Henry Park and Alice Park.
Her early life was spent singing country and gospel music. In the 1940s, she was a regular radio personality in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and WPAR, Parkersburg.
Surviving are her nephew, Ordained Minister Dennis Stutler and wife Susan, Rev. William D. Stutler and wife Linda; one son, Rev. Kevin "Coach" Stutler; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Lou.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Stutler, and one sister, Edith Stutler, her partner during their radio days.
Graveside services were held at Cooper Cemetery, Annamoriah. |
