| CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The West Virginia Division of Culture and History (WVDCH) and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts are adding a second funding cycle for Professional Development grants for West Virginia artists and arts organizations.
The WVDCH Arts Section will accept applications through Oct. 1 from artists interested in taking their artistic skills to the next level and nonprofit arts organizations interested in expanding programs that support artists.
Arts director Renée Margocee said the move will enable more artists and arts organizations across the state to take advantage of a vital program that awards artists up to $2,500 for new equipment, workshops, apprenticeships and more. Nonprofit arts organizations can apply for up to $5,000. All projects must occur between Jan. 1, 2015, and June 30, 2015.
