Calvin D. Westfall, 69, of Spencer, West Virginia passed away on his farm and homeplace, July 26, 2014.
He was born November 13, 1944 in Beaverdam, West Virginia a son of the late Edgar Ellis and Jesse Clyde Knapp-Westfall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Lou Westfall and five brothers, Howard, Cecil, Eugene, Okey "Buck", and Bill Westfall.
Calvin loved anything to do with the outdoors, farming, and tinkering around with engine repair. Calvin was an avid hunter and spent many hours on his farm tending to his cattle. This is where he felt most at home. He was known throughout the community for his natural ability to "fix anything". He worked for 34 years at the Monarch Rubber Company in Spencer.
Calvin is survived by his wife of 22 years, Christine "Katie" Westfall; and his children, Cheryl Price of Spencer, Oneida Westfall of Williamstown, West Virginia, Aaron (Kacey) Westfall of Sissonville, West Virginia, Adam Westfall of Ripley, West Virginia, Robin Westfall of Ripley, West Virginia, and Barbara Westfall-Brown of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
We would like to thank everyone who worked tirelessly to search for Calvin. We appreciate your hard work and know it will not be forgotten.
Per Calvin's request, a graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Fairview Cemetery in Reedy, West Virginia.
Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer is in charge of arrangements for the Westfall family. There will be no service or visitation at the funeral home. |
