WV volunteers collected more than 300 tons of litter from across West Virginia this spring, involving 1,085 of state roadways.
Volunteers in Calhoun did not participate in the Make-it-Shine program, which included WV streams.
The state EAP said more than 9,000 people participated in cleanups sponsored by the DEP and the Department of Transportation along roadways and streams.
They collected more than 2,400 discarded tires.
