| Rita M. Terrell, 84, of Reedy, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at home.
She was born April 30, 1930 in Roane County, a daughter of the late Alfred and Pearl Starcher Matics. She loved and cared deeply for her family-her parents, brothers, sister, sons, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, nieces, and nephews.
Rita is survived by her husband, Kenneth V. Terrell, Jr.; two sons, and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Doris Terrell and K. Allen and Cheryl Terrell, all of Reedy; four grandchildren, Jason Terrell and Amanda Terrell, both of Reedy, Ashley (Mike) Sheppard of Grand Saline, Texas, and Brittany (Paul) Ward of St. Albans, West Virginia; a great-granddaughter, Elliot Brooke Sheppard; a sister, Tresa Lea Westfall of Woodsfield, Ohio; and three brothers, Don and Kenneth Matics, both of Reedy, and Jim Matics of Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfred "Bill", Jr., Robert (Bob), Larry, and Benny Matics.
The family wishes to send special thanks to Rita's caregivers: Beth Mullens, Pat Mason, and Katrina Parsons.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Fairview Cemetery off of Grace Road near Reedy. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Fairview Church and Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 266, Spencer, WV 25276.
