| Bernard "Bill" Williams, 79, of Parkersburg, WV passed away July 1, 2014. He was born May 25, 1935 to the late James Carl Williams and Amy Otha (Tingler) Williams. .
He served in the US Air Force and later retired after 33 years as an operator at DuPont. He was a member of the South Parkersburg Baptist Church where he was on their Property Management Team.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Anderson Williams of Parkersburg; children, Allen (Kelley) Williams, Tony (Ronda) Williams, Anita (David) Starling, all of Hampton, VA; eight grandchildren, Jason Williams, Jared Williams, Amanda Williams, Andrew Williams, Ryan Starling, Wesley Starling, Brett Starling, Quinn Starling; two great granddaughters, Emma and Addie Williams; one great grandson, Barrett Williams; two brothers, Gayford (Glenna) Williams, Roydice (Sue) Williams of Big Bend; sister, Erma (Arthur) Yost; sister-in-law, Violet Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death is one sister, Freda Perdue and one brother, Wilford Williams.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 5th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at South Parkersburg Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 pm at South Parkersburg Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Busch and Dr. Lloyd Hamblin officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
