James H. "Jim" Stotts, 83, of Spencer, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 17, 1930, at Clover, Roane County, a son of the late Everett Lewis and Edna Gay Price Stotts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Geraldine "Jerry" Stotts; a granddaughter, Andrea Stone; two great grandchildren, Tori Patterson and Reece Richards; two brothers, Ivan Stotts and Leo Stotts; four sisters, Icy Kincaid, Frances "Chick" Vance, Velma Buchanan and Eula Stotts.
Mr. Stotts was a long time employee of Rader's Recapping, Spencer. He was a member of the Spencer Advent Christian Church, Moriah Lodge No. 38, A.F. & A.M. and Wetzel Chapter No. 27, O.E.S., Spencer.
Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Miller of Charleston, Ruth Patterson of St. Albans, Susan Finkbeiner of Summerville, SC and Elizabeth Stotts of Spencer; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Lewis Stotts of Marietta, GA and Kenna Stotts of Boerne, TX; two sisters, Delcie DeKett of Springport, MI and Hope Morris of Nitro.
Jim requested that there be no visitation or service. His family is honoring his request.
He will be cremated and at a later date buried in the Clover Cemetery beside his wife.
