Since 1950 the West Virginia State Folk Festival in Glenville has focused on old-time music, traditional square dancing, and Appalachian arts and crafts.
This years festival ends June 22.
The festival takes on a marvelous reminiscent of the old days, antique cars, the Folk Festival Belles, quilt shows, and Appalachian arts and crafts.
Your ears can be treated to the sweet sounds of banjo and fiddle contests, jam sessions in the streets, old-time gospel singing, and oral story-telling traditions.
The festival also offers workshops in music, dance, and crafts, as well as demonstrations.
