Free fishing days for West Virginia are June 7th and 8th. Those days are a great opportunity to sample the joys of fishing. Hopefully once you make an attempt at fishing you will want to make it a habit.
Fishing is a great opportunity to enjoy time with family and friends. It can be as cheap as a can of worms and a bobber or as expensive as a bass boat with electronics.
It seems that the trout stocking at the Calhoun Park ponds were a major success but not a single donation has been made to the stock the pond account.
The stocking is only possible due to private donations. If you want it to happen next year, it will take funds starting this year. Donations can be made to:
