| Donald Lee Peggs Sr. age 75 of 6583 US Hwy 5 East, Sand Fork Community departed this life at 4:10 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born April 8, 1939 in Braxton County, West Virginia, son of the late Cecil T. and Octoba Curtis Peggs.
Donald retired from Appalachian Pipe in 1991. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising cactus and spending time outdoors. Donald was a good father to all 7 of his children and he especially loved to spend time spoiling his grandchildren.
On May 15, 1976 he was united in marriage to Sally Sue Lattea Peggs, who survives at their Route 5 home.
Surviving are 7 children, Belinda Sue Minney, Connie Marie Peggs Thompson, Delores Ann Peggs Glenn, Donald Lee Peggs Jr., Donna Joyce Webb, Melissa Ann Morris, and Samual Curtis Peggs, and 1 half sister, Charlatt Rogers; 17 grandchildren, Aaron Lee Glenn, Adam James Minney, Alicia Dawn Webb Davis, Christopher Lee Jarvis, Kiara Leann Peggs, Ethan Elias Peggs, Hannah Nicole Minney, Isaac Jacob Peggs, Joseph Michale Heater II, Justin Phillip Peggs, Logan Isaac Morris, Mason Lee Morris, Matthew Carl Glenn, Nathan Eugene Thompson, Nicholas Eric Thompson, Patrick Lee Webb, Thomas Edwin Thompson and Jacob Daniel Morris who will arrive later in the summer. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Along with his parents Donald was preceded in death by 1 infant son, Comen Peggs; 2 sisters, Lucile Moore and Doris Queen; 5 brothers, Orville, Roy, Robert, Burl, and Francis "Frank" Peggs; and 4 grandchildren, Eric Allan Glenn, Infant Morris, Lisa Ann Webb, and Victoria Ann Heater.
Donald's request for cremation has been honored and a Celebration of Life will be set at a later date.
