Timothy L. Woodward, formerly employed as Director of Pupil Support Services for Hardy County WV since July, 2013, is Calhoun's new Superintendent of Schools.
Woodward had been principal of Pendleton County Middle/High School 2009-2013 and
principal in Rockingham County, VA 2002-2009.
The Calhoun Board of Education hired Woodward during Monday night's meeting, replacing former superintendent Roger Propst, who resigned in March.
Woodward has been hired from May 27, 2014 - June 30, 2014 and then from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2016, essentially a two year contract, based on an annual salary of $80,000.
The local board interviewed three other applicants for the position.

- Carla R. Taylor, Big Bend, WV, Director of School Improvement, Calhoun County Schools.
- Kelli J. Whystell, Grantsville, WV, Co-Principal Calhoun Middle High School, Calhoun County Schools.
Acting superintendent Dan Metz is currently filling the position.
