ARMED HOME INVASION - Police are looking for two men wanted in connection with a home invasion in Sissonville early Monday morning.
Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies say the home invasion was reported about 4:35 a.m.
Nancy Hayes says two men forced their way into her home while she was asleep, armed with pistols. They demanded prescription pills, according to Hayes. She says she gave the men the pills she had and they left.
MAN SHOT BY EX-GIRLFRIEND - Putnam County deputies Saturday responded to a domestic violence call from 911 regarding shots fired at Red House.
Police said 31-year-old Curtis Adams broke into his ex-girfriend's home, kicking in the front door. That's when she fired back with a shotgun and Adams died.
Deputies went to the home where Adams' ex-girlfriend and five children, one of whom she and Adams share, were she waited to be questioned.
Police said the couple had previous domestic violence situations where police were called to the home.
The former girlfriend was questioned Saturday and the investigation is ongoing.
Deputies said the case will be presented to the grand jury to see if any charges will follow.
CHARLESTON STABBING - About 3 a.m. Sunday morning Kanawha deputies found Jerry M. Shaffer, 31, of Elkview, in Charleston on the ground with a stab wound to his neck, with several people standing around a car.
Shaffer described the man who stabbed him and he was then taken to the hospital.
Deputies say the man Shaffer described was Jason Allen Wright, 33, of Summersville. He was arrested and charged with malicious assault. Wright's face and head were injured during the fight.
Deputies say they believe Wright was driving a vehicle with three passengers, including Shaffer.
