| Christian Dawn Starcher, 18, of Spencer WV, who disappeared August 31, 2002 and whose body was discovered December 16, 2009, will be remembered during a funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jack Roberts officiating.
Burial will be in the Tawney Cemetery at Newton WV. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral.
She was born February 29, 1984, in Spencer, the daughter of Vikki Jean Tawney Hart of Spencer and Jesse Morgan Starcher of Spencer.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Jessica Danielle Starcher Meredith; four half-brothers, Alex Tawney, Iron Lee Hart, Jesse Starcher and Tyler Starcher; two half-sisters, Kayla Starcher and Marissa Starcher; maternal grandmother, Shirley Tawney; paternal grandparents, Jesse Starcher and Ocie Hunt; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Christian was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Franklin D. Tawney and a special aunt, Juanita Florence "Aunt Bunt" Tawney.
