Alfred L. Hardman Age 82, of Minerva, OH died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Aultman Hospital.
He was born Dec. 2, 1931 in Glenville, W.Va. to Alfred and Ruby (Wilcox) Hardman.
He retired from the Timken Co. in Canton in 1994 where he had worked for 42 years. He is a US Army Korean War veteran, active as a ham radio operator 'KB8PHI' and a member of the AFLCIO.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frankie (Wilfong) Hardman whom he married May 24, 1952; two daughters, Barb (Steve) VonKaenel of New Philadelphia and Mary (Jim) Daum of Manassas, Va.; three sons, Garry Hardman of Medix Run, Pa., Donald Hardman of Canton and Terry (Cynthia) Hardman of Alliance; sister, Edith Hardman of Grantsville, W.Va.; four brothers, Guy Hardman of Spencer, W.Va., James (Nancy) Hardman of Grantsville, W.Va., William (Connie) Hardman of Navarre and Roger (Dottie) Hardman of Grantsville, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicholas, Joshua, Travis, Raquel, Tyler, Skyler, Charli, Amelia and Jett; two great- grandchildren, Zachary and Alyssa. He is preceded in death by a sister, Freda Hupp; and four brothers, Wilford, Denzil, Herman and Buddy Hupp.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Calling hours will be Saturday from 2-4 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial with full military services will be in Liberty Cemetery. |
