Harry Lee Daugherty, Jr., 73, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at home.
He was born July 19, 1940 in Walton, West Virginia, a son of the late Harry Daugherty, Sr. and Rokel Harris Daugherty. He formerly worked road construction and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Harry is survived by four daughters, Kitty Hogue of Newton, West Virginia, Kathy Short of Spencer, and Penny Yeager and Tammie Laughlin, both of Calhoun County; two sons, Joseph D. and Adam Daugherty, both of Spencer; two brothers, Tommy Daugherty of Spencer and French "Jake" Harris of Walton; sixteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Smith Daugherty; his second wife, Helen Marie Bush Daugherty; a sister, Jo Ann Daugherty; and two brothers, Bobby and Buddy Daugherty.
Services will be at 2:00pm on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Andy Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Branch Cemetery near Walton. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
