WVU Calhoun County Extension Service is offering two chances to learn about Menu Planning and Family Meal Time, during its monthly Extension Road Show on Wednesday.
You have two chances to attend: Louisa Chapel in Arnoldsburg, starting at 9:30 a.m., and First Baptist Church in Grantsville, starting at 2 p.m.
Eating healthy, saving time, and stretching food dollars are all benefits of Menu Planning. Nancy Bremar, WVU Extension Service- Nutrition Outreach Instructor will discuss how to plan a menu and organize your grocery list, as well as a food demonstration.
With food prices on the rise this class will show you tips to stretches your food dollars and minimizing waste of perishable items. Research shows that planning meals ahead of time increases consumption of healthy foods and leads to a healthier life style.
Family meal time provides a meaningful experience and offers a sense of belonging to all ages of the family. Research shows that regular family meals offer a large variety of benefits to children and parents.
Patty Morrison, WVU Extension Agent- Families and Health will discuss ways to improve family meal time and provide resources to participants to make family meal time fun and enjoyable.
