Ronald Milton Moran, 72, of Big Bend, WV passed away suddenly at his home Wednesday, April 2, 2014.
He was born May 2, 1941, in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Robert M. and Martha W. Davidson Moran.
Ron is survived by his wife, Marian Strickler Moran, whom he first married on Aug. 27, 1960 and again on May 12, 2000.
His children are, daughters, Ellen (David) Hatfield, Lori Hawkins, and Susan (Steve) Vanderbilt; son, James (Casey) Hamner; stepdaughter, Susan (Ed) Novak; and stepsons, Jeff Arnovitz and Michael Arnovitz.
He also is survived by his twin brother, Robert L. (Peggydawn) Moran and brother William (Linda) Moran; and sister Linda (David) Legg.
Ron had nine surviving grandchildren, Jennie McGuire, Nicholas Hawkins, Chase Hawkins, Ali Dotson, Kyle Dotson, Kaylie Hamner, Chloe Hamner, Kiera Hamner and Caleb Hamner; three nephews, Gregory Moran, Daniel Moran and Ryan Moran; and three nieces, Lynn Gundy, Theresa Moran and Renee Murphy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Shirley Lee Milheim, to whom he was married from May 3, 1985 to Sept. 30, 1992; and one nephew, Robert M. Moran.
Ron worked in the print industry and saw dramatic changes in that field. He started working with lead type and saw progress leading to computer pagination and digital printing of today. He was a great problem solver and loved working on computers. He had great fun sailing with his brother and he enjoyed his family. He was a very loving and kind man.
He attended Brooksville Baptist Church in Big Bend, W.Va.
A memorial will be held at the Brooksville Baptist Church and burial will be in Warren, Ohio. Both to be held at a later date.
