| There was a small forest fire being whipped by high winds Friday afternoon near the Calhoun-Ritchie line.
The Grantsville VFD responded to the scene near Campbell Hill at 5:40 p.m. off State Rt. 16, and brought the fire under control.
The Smithville VFD also responded to the fire at Campbell Hill with a crew, while another crew responded to a Dominion Transmission gas well fire near Tanner Road, according to Kerry Murphy, fire chief.
